Juno - She is becoming more aware of her surroundings everyday. A new facial expression everyday. I wish we could capture them all.

When life throws you a curve ball...

Sometimes things happen that cause so much chaos and turmoil in peoples life. Those things don't normally happen to me. I often find myself being thankful for my life and how seemingly easy and pleasant it is.
On Tuesday our precious dog got hit by a car. She has a broken leg and is on bed rest for 6 weeks. That means I am on house arrest to make sure her hyper nature doesn't stop her leg from healing.
At first I was devastated. Not only had our dog been hurt but I was now stranded at home with a newborn and a patient for up to 6 weeks. I'm someone who is happy to sit on the lounge and watch movies all day, everyday. But I snapped myself out of it with a bit of self-talk. Things could be worse and I'm not going to let this ruin one of the happiest times of our lives.
So over the next month and a half I will be relying on craft, cooking and maybe a scratch of gardening to keep me sane. Lets hope it works...

Today, inspired by so many fun blogs, I have decided to start my own.
It's a hot, sticky day in my little part of the world and both my baby girl and hubby are having an afternoon nap. I probably should be having one too considering i'm two weeks into motherhood but I seem to have found some energy after demolishing a zooper dooper.
I hope my blog is a place where I can share my journey of becoming a mum and the new and wonderful things that I will learn.
